Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
Stay home with a fever or a cough and tell the front desk. A lesson can move to another time in the month, and your band keeps your place.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for Thanksgiving week, a winter break and a few holidays. Closures and show months are on the show nights page, and we email families about a weather closure.
Drop-off and pickup
Students under eighteen leave with the adult named on their file, unless the file says a teen may leave on their own. Parents may wait in the lobby, which has seats and a window into the hall.
Late pickup
Please collect your student when rehearsal ends. A coach stays until every student has left, and a call to the front desk helps us plan.
Watching rehearsals and shows
A parent can sit in on a first class and on open rehearsal nights. During the term, lesson room doors have a window or stay open. At a show, families sit in the main room and phones go away while a band plays.
Screens and phones
Phones stay in a pocket or the cubby during rehearsal, except for a tuner, a metronome or a chart your coach asks for.
What to wear and bring
Wear what you would play in, with closed shoes for pedals and amps. For a show night, a plain dark shirt is enough.
